Job Description – SAP CPQ Technical Consultant

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP CPQ Technical Consultant to work on end-to-end SAP CPQ implementations, enhancements, and integrations. The role involves designing scalable CPQ solutions, handling complex product configurations and pricing logic, integrating CPQ with Salesforce and ERP systems, and supporting global business users across the Lead-to-Order and Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
This role is suitable for both mid-level and senior SAP CPQ consultants who are comfortable working in a remote, global delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in end-to-end SAP CPQ implementation projects, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Design and develop complex product configurations, guided selling flows, pricing rules, discount structures, and approval workflows
- Customize SAP CPQ using scripts, rules, and configuration to meet business requirements
- Lead or support migration activities from Quote 1.0 to Quote 2.0, including refactoring rules and templates
- Develop and maintain responsive CPQ templates and custom UI components
- Build and support integrations between SAP CPQ and Salesforce, SAP ERP, and non-SAP ERP systems using CPQ APIs
- Work on pricing models such as subscription-based, tiered, and usage-based pricing
- Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure solution performance, scalability, and adherence to best practices
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and offshore/onshore teams
- Follow DevOps and CI/CD best practices for deployments and environment management
- (For senior consultants) Provide technical guidance, review deliverables, and mentor junior team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of overall IT experience
- 4–6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CPQ development and customization
- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP CPQ implementation projects and at least 1 production support engagement
- Strong knowledge of:
- Product configuration and guided selling
- Pricing calculations, discounting models, and approvals
- Quote-to-Cash and Lead-to-Order business processes
- Experience with SAP CPQ Quote 1.0 and Quote 2.0
- Strong integration experience with Salesforce and SAP / non-SAP ERP systems
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP CPQ APIs
- Responsive templates and UI customization
- Technical proficiency in:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Bootstrap, jQuery, KnockoutJS
- Python, IronPython 2.7, C#
- Understanding of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD concepts, and deployment best practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good to Have
- Experience in global or multi-region CPQ rollouts
- Exposure to performance tuning and scalability improvements
- Prior experience mentoring junior consultants or leading technical modules
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
